Tom Cochrane at Toronto's newest casino resort
Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, Canada's largest gambling property, welcomes Tom Cochrane, an eight-time Juno Award winner and a Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee. The famous artist will perform at the new live interaction venue, the Theatre, at the casino on Dec. 31, 2023, at 8 p.m. The casino will also announce more performances in 2024.
The Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto is the country's newest and largest casino resort, with development costs around C$1 billion. It boasts 328,000 square feet of gaming floors, 400-room hotels, indoor swimming pools, wellness and fitness spaces, multi-dining options, private event and flexible meeting spaces, and a 5,000-person live entertainment venue linked to Live Nation.
Over nearly 50 years, Mr. Cochrane has accomplished many great things in the music industry. His career began in the early '70s as a folk-based singer and songwriter at a coffee shop in Toronto. He joined rock group red riders as lead singer in 1978, and they released nine albums with hits such as loonatic fringe, Victory Day, human race, boy inside the man, and more.
He then began his solo career with Life is a Highway, a hit from his breakthrough album Mad Mad World. It has sold more than one million copies in the United States alone and another six million worldwide. Accordingly, he was certified diamond status in Canada and received a Grammy nomination in the United States.
Cochran, a solo artist and member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame's Red Rider, has won the Juno Award eight times. During his career, he released 21 albums and toured several times, capturing the hearts and ears of fans. With his success, he earned a star named Tom Cochran's Life is a Highway in Canada's Walk of Fame and a 322-km highway section in Manitoba.
Along with Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers, there will be an exclusive pre-sale of tickets for Great Canadian Rewards members of Great Canadian Entertainment's loyalty program. Pre-sale starts at 10:00 a.m. ET on November 9 and ends at 10:00 p.m. ET on the same day. General sales begin at 10:00 a.m. ET on ticketmaster.ca in November.

Canada's largest casino floor is home to 328,000 square feet of officially opened property, 4,800 slot machines, 145 live table games, VIP rooms and sports betting terminals, which will generate about C$500 million in economic gains for the state.
Within weeks of opening, a billion Canadian-dollar casino resort also opened its hotel portion. The hospitality section combines modernity, comfort, and excitement, just minutes away from Toronto Pearson International Airport. It boasts about 400 first-class rooms, half of which are nearby and offers views of the iconic Woodbine racetrack.
